As of Monday 16 August, 2021 Tarmo Bakler is the new Chairman of Board of East Tallinn Central Hospital. He was appointed to the post by the supervisory board of the hospital on 2 July, having spent the last 18 years in charge of Ida-Viru Central Hospital.

As of Monday, 9 August, East Tallinn Central Hospital Blood Centre has been using electronic computerised crossmatch of blood components (ECC).

Taking up the post of director of the Neurology Centre at East Tallinn Central Hospital on 1 September will be Dr Inga Kalju. Dr Kalju joined the hospital in 2015 as a resident before becoming a neurologist in 2018.
