As the number of people infected with Covid has decreased, the need for Covid beds has also fallen and the hospital is closing another department intended for Covid patients. Scheduled treatment will be restored gradually.
East Tallinn Central Hospital and Ehitus5ECO OÜ entered into a contract for the renovation of the D block of the Magdaleena Unit. Construction work will begin on 15 March. Until the completion of the building, patient appointments will partly take place in a temporary modular building erected in the courtyard of the hospital.
Tallinn Central Hospital offers immediate or inevitable medical care to war refugees. The expenses for the treatment of military refugees are covered by the Estonian Hospital Cash Office.
