Outpatient clinics, reception desks and phone service closed on 23 and 24 June
The working day preceding the holidays, i.e. 22 June, is shortened and outpatient clinics will be open until 13:00. On public holidays from 23-24 June, the outpatient clinics, reception desks and phone service of East Tallinn Central Hospital will be closed. Emergency care is available 24/7 from the Centre of Emergency Medicine at Ravi 18, in block E.
Visiting patients allowed again from 6 June
From 6 June, visiting hospitalised patients at East Tallinn Central Hospital is allowed again during prescribed visiting hours (from 15:00-19:00 Mon-Fri and from 12:00-19:00 Sat-Sun). The maximum permitted visiting time is limited to 15 minutes, with one visitor allowed at a time. As an exception, visiting patients in the Women's Clinic is still not permitted.
Only persons without symptoms of respiratory disease may visit patients. Visitors are required to wear a protective mask when visiting patients.
Patient satisfaction survey will be carried out until 8 May
A patient satisfaction survey will be carried out at East Tallinn Central Hospital from 4 April to 8 May. The survey will be carried out by interviewing a random sample of outpatients. The aim of the survey is to understand patients' expectations regarding communication and involvement. The questionnaire-based feedback used in the past has this year been replaced by interviews as it gives us a better understanding of the patients' experience and helps us ascribe meaning to it.
Protective masks mandatory in hospital
The general obligation to wear a mask has ended, but as a hospital we have a duty to protect the health of our patients and staff. All patients coming for scheduled and emergency treatment and procedures/tests must wear a protective mask. In the absence of a mask, the hospital has the right to refuse treatment.
