Anneli Kärema is a midwife at our Maternity Hospital with more than 30 years of work experience as a midwife in the maternity department of the Women’s Clinic and at the Maternity Counselling Centre. Annely has been updating her knowledge and skills in various countries and has attended professional training courses and learned about the course of physiologic childbirth, the management of water birth and the causes of any potential risks.
Annely speaks Estonian, Russian and English.
As a midwife, Annely wants to support women and their families throughout the pregnancy and childbirth period. She also makes home visits after childbirth if necessary. She was interested in becoming a midwife at a young age already. According to her, it is heart-warming to be touched by the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth. Her own childbirths and years of work experience have taught her the nature and soul of childbirth, as well as how fragile and delicate a woman is during childbirth. Siiri wants to respect the freedom of choice of every woman and family and to respect their personal decisions deeply.
