The purpose of the survey is to determine patient satisfaction with the healthcare services provided at the hospital. The questions also cover topics such as admission to the hospital, the physician, the nurses and the hospital in general.
Hip and knee joint replacement or endoprosthesis is one of the most popular surgeries in Estonia, resulting in long waiting times. Endoprosthesis is the most requested surgery at ITK. “Around 7000 patients are currently waiting for endoprosthesis surgery in Estonia, of which ~1500 are ITK patients. In Estonia, ~3600 surgeries are performed annually, ~900 of these at our hospital,” says Dr Andres Kööp, Head of the Orthopaedic Centre of ITK.
Renowned professor Peter Rehder from Austria (Medical University Innsbruck), who is very active in the fields of reconstructive urology and paediatric urology, joined our team at East Tallinn Central Hospital’s Centre of Urology. This is the beginning of a new partnership in Estonian urology that will ensure that the ITK Centre of Urology can perform high level reconstructive urinary tract operations in the coming years.
