East Tallinn Central Hospital Centre of Emergency Medicine to move to a temporary location for a year
The Centre of Emergency Medicine of East Tallinn Central Hospital at Ravi Street is moving to a temporary medical campus for a year owing to large-scale renovation work in its rooms. As a result, the centre will be closed for 24 hours on 7 May.
On 7 May, ambulances are directed to other hospitals and we also ask patients to turn to the emergency medical care centres of other hospitals. Scheduled ophthalmologist appointments will continue on 7 May at the usual location. The renovation and moving of the centre does not affect emergency appointments at the Women's Clinic.
The work of the Centre of Emergency Medicine, including ophthalmologist appointments, resumes on 8 May in a new location in the hospital yard – between the fountain and the A block – in a medical campus consisting of modules. The campus includes the general reception desk for the Centre of Emergency Medicine, the centre's radiology unit and outpatient care.
The centre is scheduled to move back to its rooms in spring 2022. The renovation and operating in a temporary location will cost over 5 millon euros. The construction service is provided by Ehitus5ECO OÜ.
