The goal of the project “Building a Primary Care Health Centre” was renovating the D-wing of the Magdaleena unit of East Tallinn Central Hospital, in order to guarantee the accessibility and variety of primary care health services in the service area, to decrease health-related inequalities and promote social inclusion.

As a result of the project, the area of 3,240.7 m2 was renovated, extra room was found at the expense of a patio that was turned into atriums filled with light.

During the renovation process, all the windows were replaced, the outer walls and the roof were insulated, the elevator was installed, the ramps were built, and the heating, ventilation and electricity systems were renewed. The renovation works lasted for 1.5 years.

The cost of the project: 8.4 million euros were invested into the renovation process, of which 1 786 043  EUR was funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Time for project implementation: 01 October 2015–30 June 2023.
