Gynaecologic oncology focuses on the early detection of malignant genital tumours and their treatment.

Cancer and precancerous conditions on genitals may be found on the cervix, in the vagina, on the external genitals, on the ovaries, inside the fallopian tubes or in the pelvic or stomach region.
