Scintigraphy in inflammation

This examination enables detecting sources of inflammation  ̶ ̶  both in soft tissues and the bones and joints (including around joint prostheses).

To perform the examination, a a substance marked with radioactive technetium (99mTc) is injected intravenously and this substance will accumulate in the inflammatory lesion.

You can come to the examination only with a specialist’s referral.
