Genetic tumour test FoundationOne Heme
The test is suitable for examining the diseases of patients with haematological cancers (leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma) or sarcoma.
The genetic profile of the tumour is inspected within this service, to find specific genetic modifications (mutations or variants) which may affect the tumour’s development. The genetic structure of the tumour is tested in the course of this procedure; thus enabling conclusions to be drawn about the genesis and development of the tumour. The results of this service enable the treating physician to find treatment methods more accurately targeted towards the tumour, or relevant clinical studies.
