The palliative care nurse’s appointment is a service that is intended for patients with an oncological disease and their loved ones.
Palliative care nurse:

raises patients’ awareness of the disease and its treatment

provides assistance in resolving different health problems that have occurred during the treatment until the end of the post-treatment follow-up period

explains the most common side effects of chemotherapy and teaches how to cope with them; supports patients between the treatment courses if necessary

gives advice on maintaining health and promoting quality of life.
