Happy International Nurses Day

International Nurses Day is celebrated on 12 May. In previous years, the focus has been on the message Nurses: A Voice to Lead. Every year, a new theme is added for that specific year. For 2022, the focus area is Invest in Nursing and respect rights to secure global health. To protect, support and invest in nurses – this is what we need to reinforce healthcare systems all over the world.

The Estonian Nurses Union is celebrating International Nurses Day with a conference Investing in nurses benefits people! to draw attention to the human right to health. Acknowledging those who need help, i.e. focusing on people, starts where both those who grant and those who receive help are deemed important.

The conference also discusses the development of special nursing services. Head of Nursing of East Tallinn Central Hospital Surgery Clinic Kätlin Pallo and Head of the Quality Department Helen Varres will introduce the results of the special nursing project at East Tallinn Central Hospital.
