On 9 June, the board members of East Tallinn Central Hospital and West Tallinn Central Hospital came together to flesh out cooperation plans between the two hospitals in the coming years and update the development plan for Tallinn Hospital, primarily with regard to the sites that will continue to operate once the new building block on Narva Road for Tallinn Hospital opens.

“The construction of the new building for Tallinn Hospital has been given a fairly clear timeline. As a result, we need to prepare an updated development plan where we also assess the continued operation of all current treatment facilities. At the same time, we’ll review cooperation opportunities and coordinated activities for clinical and support services, including potential strategic choices regarding the use of information systems as well as joint procurements for the next year. The decisions made today are an important step in answering many of the questions related to the planning of organisational changes for the period 2023-2027, for which there is currently no specific timetable,” says Tarmo Bakler, Chairman of the Board of East Tallinn Central Hospital.

Tallinn Hospital is set to be finished by 2028.
