Christmas cheer: High-tech simulation mannequin to help our smallest patients
A high-tech simulation mannequin was introduced at the East Tallinn Central Hospital training centre to support neonatal stabilisation and resuscitation training. The mannequin can be used to practice vital skills to provide the best care for young patients.
The device elevates the quality of training by offering a more effective learning experience. It can be used to practice complex and critical procedures in realistic conditions. The training sessions are attended by hospital staff working with newborns, as well as staff and paediatric residents from other Estonian hospitals.
"The simulation group of the Women's Clinic shares its knowledge and experience across Estonia,” explained Dr Kadri Margus, head of the East Tallinn Central Hospital Women's Clinic simulation group. "These training sessions help provide the best care for our smallest patients.”
According to Kadri Margus, East Tallinn Central Hospital's simulation training has gained significant attention in recent years. Collaboration, valued among Estonian healthcare professionals, helps improve the quality of healthcare and increase patient safety.
