Anaesthesiologist Dr Külvar Mand takes up position as Head of East Tallinn Central Hospital Centre of Emergency Medicine

The new head of East Tallinn Central Hospital Centre of Emergency Medicine is Dr Külvar Mand. Dr Mand has been working in East Tallinn Central Hospital since 2007 and previously held the position of anaesthesiologist at the Centre of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care. According to the new head of the centre, key objectives include the comprehensive development of the staff of the Centre of Emergency Medicine and making preparations to be ready to move into the new renovated centre later this year.

The new head of East Tallinn Central Hospital Centre of Emergency Medicine is Dr Külvar Mand.

Dr Mand has been working in East Tallinn Central Hospital since 2007 and previously held the position of anaesthesiologist at the Centre of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care.

According to the new head of the centre, key objectives include the comprehensive development of the staff of the Centre of Emergency Medicine and making preparations to be ready to move into the new renovated centre later this year.

“We’ll focus on team work and cooperation with colleagues from other units in our hospital,” says Dr Mand. Dr Mand will continue his work in anaesthesiology alongside his new leadership post.

In addition to the new leader, Dr Kristiina Mäemets joined the Centre of Emergerncy Medicine as Head Physician.

For the past two years, Dr Kristiina Mäemets worked as a general physician at the Centre of Emergency Medicine and as head physician, she will coordinate further training at the Centre of Emergency Medicine. “Our aim is to support new young doctors, students and residents with supervision and up-to-date practical guidance to help them develop as professionals in their field,” says Dr Mäemets.
