Diagnosis of prostate cancer using fusion guided biopsy
In addition to the standard method for diagnosing prostate cancer, we also use a modern invasive diagnostic method for prostate cancer - the combination of mpMRI and UH, or fusion biopsy.
The method includes the combining or fusion of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasonography. It enables a very precise tissue sample to be collected from a suspicious lesion in the prostate discovered during an MRI. This greatly improves the diagnostic value when looking for prostate cancer.
The combined method allows for very early detection of prostate cancer and reduces the unnecessary sampling of prostate tissue.
