Women of any age, who are inadvertently leaking urine, are welcome to make an appointment. There are a number of reasons for urinary incontinence, and during the midwife appointment the type of incontinence will be determined. Treatment for urinary incontinence depends on the type of incontinence involved and may involve the use of medicinal products or surgery. According to the type and severity of urinary incontinence, the midwife will refer the patient to the appropriate specialist. There is no need for a referral or to pay a visit fee when contacting a midwife.
