Joint radiosynovectomy

Radiosynovectomy is an intra-articular local treatment method, used for chronic inflammatory joint diseases in case systemic (main) treatment has not achieved the required results for individual joints.

This method consists of injecting a radioactive substance into a joint cavity under ultrasound or X-ray inspection. Successful treatment reduces or removes inflammatory reactions of the joints (pain, swelling, excess fluid) and the joint functionality shall improve. The patient shall be hospitalised for 2 days to perform the procedure. You can come to the treatment only with a specialist’s referral.
